So we abandoned Earth for some reason... Not suprised, usually when Humans make a mess we just say "It was like that when I got here!" and leave ASAP. |

I like to imagine that human environmental damage is why ponies have to micromanage all of the weather, animals, plants, and heavenly bodies.
We left the ponies behind as a kind of sapient environmental scrubber for our eventual return, but we took so long coming back that perhaps only Celestia and Luna remember their original purposes. |

That's a freaky cool headcanon, waffle.
I can't help but see parallels with Wall-E, but I love the idea that environmental conditions forced manually changing the weather and later, how it would become tradition. |

I'm with you Croc, I love Waffle's headcanon.
Imagine if the ponies were just barely sentient and evolution took its course to where they are now as smart as humans. Methinks the humans might be a little surprised by that. |
