>shows for girls can be as good as shows for boys
>males can enjoy female things too

That sounds like equalist to me. And I've always considered myself an equalist.

To be fair the mlp toys are like that because little girls like to groom things and don't require their toys to be able to pull of action poses and whatnot.
Whether it's by nature or succumbing to influences like whatever marketing is aimed at them at a young age I don't know.

Again, I'll state feminism is a complicated subject that often diverges into many subsets. It incorporates many different themes and theories including ideas such as Patriarchy, sexual and gender role normalcy, and more. Saying "you don't hate women or like girl things" means your a feminist is insultingly simple from every conceivable angle. Nice try though.

Like being a feminist is a bad thing, and I've said this before, I may see males and females as equals but I wouldn't call myself a feminist from the fact most feminist I know go crazy overdoing it, I mean when a male feminist yells at you for holding a door for a woman(and the said male feminist as well) then you don't want to think of yourself as one.

Isn't a feminist just someone who thinks females have equal rights? That's all there is to it.

^^ For the most part, yes. But isn't it a bit questionable to refer to "equal rights" with a female-specific term? If someone was anti-male, the word would be no less appropriate.

Equality isn't just about bringing women up to the level of men, and while no one as said so here, people seeing it that way is already a problem in society. Focusing too much on the idea that females are unfairly victimized and need to be treated better will lead to seeing things that way even when they aren't (which, to be fair, they often are).

That's a big reason why feminism is so controversial, even though most self-identified feminists would agree with most self-identified anti-feminists on what, specifically, society should be like. It's an issue of semantics, but one that's more important than it seems.
