Don't worry, Fluttershy. That's a fast food burger. It's probably made with hors.... oh. |
| Anonymous #1411604 1 month ago |
OP does realize that equines are capable of consuming small quantities of meat, with several documented cases of individuals passing up on grazing to eat small animals for protein, right? |
| CogWeaver #1411617 1 month ago |
@604
Probably not, I wouldn't imagine that kind of information to be widely known. |
| Liberion #1411626 1 month ago |
@604: Because the ponies of Equestria are exactly the same, biologically and psychologically, as horses on Earth?
Are equines capable of raising the sun, summoning orbital friendship cannons, or making magical apple jellies? |
| Bolan #1411627 1 month ago |
Equestria has garden burgers. |

Anonymous@1411604 said: Small animals...? Well, that makes this all the more feasible and horrifying for Fluttershy. |

I always wondered why some people make it seem as if ponies are completely oblivious to the existence of carnivores, and would be completely baffled at human diet.
Cats and dogs are carnivores and are both featured as pets. Griffons are probably carnivores, as are manticores. Dragons are at least omnivorous, as Spike can eat equine cuisine, but are definitely not herbivores. Fluttershy herself clearly understands the natural order of things; we've seen her feed fish to some ferrets in episode 7. |

Son of a gum chewing funk monster!
Why the fruit does all this funny stuff happen to me!? Forget my life! Always surrounded by miserable failing Clauds! Like this whole world just likes to bend me over and find me in the Alps! Like I'm some sort of schlock receptacle! Well as far as I car, these miserable cows can have a fancy barbecue with a goddamn pig! |

NAH NAH NAH. It's all mystery meat. The mystery is, no one knows what the stuff is actually made of because its totally not meat |
| doc_steedly #1412214 1 month ago |
Oh and about the posts about equines eating meat. It is true, my mare loves meatball subs. Everytime I eat one near her, she has to have some of it. At first I thought it might have been because of the sauce or the bun but she spits the bun out and eats the meatballs without sauce aswell. She ate a hot dog too. But We love watermelon n.n |

it gets freakier than that. some mongolian tribes reportedly fed their horses on blood and meat when grazing was sparse on the tundra.
and there are reports throughout history of "man eater" horses that would attack, kill, and eat people... |
| RealityCheck #1412306 1 month ago |
Extra factoid: Alexander the Great's horse, Bucephalus, was supposedly a killer and a man-eater when Alexander tamed him.... |
| Anonymous #1412506 1 month ago |
@604 that is actually news to me |
| Anonymous #1412849 1 month ago |
Not just dead, but also ground up into a paste, and then cooked on a hot metal plate. |

RealityCheck Nope, Bucephalus was a gifted his farther got but was deemed unrideable, turns out he was just freaking out because he was spooked of his own shadow @604 true like a dog can lived off on a vegan diet, (but not something you should do) However in MLP cows are a sentient race so this like kinda like (for us) eating people |

@WatermelonRat: yep, Equestria is full of biggotry |
| Ferrotter #1424470 1 month ago |
From the thumbnail I thought this was a different joke. Tough Dashie practically in tears when she realized what it was; meek little animal-loving Fluttershy still tearing into the burger and enjoying it. |
| Ferrotter #1424473 1 month ago |
Oh, and the head-eating Bucephalus was something as near as I can tell was made up for that cartoon with the Pythagoras ninjas. His name in our world came from the fact that his head was disproportionately large for his body. |
