@ #1409735 0 If you're mistaking me for an abuse-lover, I'm not. In fact, most people call me a "luvfag" and keep telling me to stop posting fluffy love stories. This story is just one of those "fluffy deserved abuse" ones while focusing on the "runt rejected to die." I tried to make it as clear as possible that the mother and foals wanted the foal to die and eat sh*t, even with plentiful food and good shelter. Sorry if this story sounded like a full-on abuse fic. |

Half of this was shit. Trying to reason with a fluffy is expected, but having the character actually believe it will work is just stupid.
I skimmed down to the fluffy juggling part expecting it to get good, expecting the foals to be dropped while the mare's face is rubbed in the fact that it would ONLY have the runt to take care of because of its own selfishness. And that didn't happen. There were no meaningful consequences. The mare would just do the same goddamn thing again in the future, only that runt probably wouldn't get lucky. This story is shortsighted and doesn't make the fluffy pony any better for it. It's just a vehicle for the self insert luvfag mary sue to pat herself on the back. Good stories aren't supposed to be about conveying the greatness of a character just for the sake of doing so, they're supposed to have the character demonstrating that greatness, EARNING it with meaningful deeds that benefit others. Unless the character is intended to be a completely uncaring jackass. In that case, it IS alright to have the character be out to toot his own horn and to hell with anyone else. But that character also has to act like an uncaring jackass. And any true jackass would bring the wrath of jack down upon spoiled little fluffy abusing fluffies, if only because punishing a fluffy for following its natural instincts would be consistent with the character's personality. But this character isn't written to be a self serving ass. It just comes off as one. And that's terrible. |

@Joykillr-II Frankly, this means you have gentler heart than I, where I would have satisfied my thirst for blood with the mare's foals, take the runt and leave her with NO babies at all.
Not me personally, the character. I would probably just take the runt, maybe mock the mother by stating that it's going to a warm place with lots of food. |
