None of them. This is obviously one of Celestia's twisted little games and I'm not going to dance to the ponygod's tune. If Celestia wanted them alive, she would have saved them herself.
Any two I saved would be upset that I hadn't somehow saved the others because they don't seem like they're used to living in a world where words like "triage" and "acceptable losses" have any meaning. Might as well let them all go at once. |

I can do no less than follow her example. This mad doctor presents a threat to Equestria and I must maximize the forces arrayed against him. Twilight Sparkle and.... Applejack has strength, Dash has speed, Rarity is mistress of social-fu, Pinkie Pie has fourth-wall powers and a deranged intellect second only to Twilight. Fluttershy.... has The Stare, but she won't use it against non-animals. Sorry 'Shy. Fourth wall powers neutralized? Sorry Pinkie. Enclosed spaces? Sorry Dash. That leaves Rarity (best pony) and Applejack, and only one of those will keep Twi sane and level-headed. My most abject apologies Mistress Rarity. Twilight and Applejack, as we knew it would be. Now the mad doctor faces THE WORST POSSIBLE THING! |

I roll a nat-20 on my Thievery check. As a level 18 Rogue, I have a 20 Thievery skill... bringing my roll up to 40. Always sure to have my thieve's tools on hand, I get a +2 bonus to opening locks and disabling traps... bringing the roll up to 42. The DC, what you have to roll for it to be a success, at level 18 for disabling traps is 30... and because I rolled a total of 42, I have disabled the trap and saved all six of them. |

Twilight Sparkle survived an anvil to the head, and is not at peak physical fitness for a pony. When Rainbow Dash managed to achieve something difficult for ponies, an actually get herself injured, the broken bone healed in three days.
What the fuck is a shotgun going to do to that? I mean, obviously just to be safe, I'm going to save Twilight and the first pony besides Twilight that the carousel lands on, and I'm going to have Twilight go back in time to a week ago, recruit a handful of changelings with the promise of 500 bits each and a royal pardon (which she can probably persuade Celestia to offer, given the circumstances). Now, changelings are perfectly fine after smashing into the round so hard they make craters, so if they take damage from a mere shotgun to the chest they have no excuse. |
