I don't eat meat and I try to buy organic fruits and vegetables. I used to grow many of my own but we've been hit by a bad drought for over a year now and it's been all but impossible. (Only allowed to water 1 day a week with almost no rain.) |

Even organically grown food is sprayed with pesticides. Thing is, even though it's organic, it's not necessarily safer than newer pesticides (In fact, it can be worse). Not to mention that food grown organically can't keep up with the needs of the people. Wouldn't it be better that everyone gets some food than for it to only go to the wealthier? Besides, there's nothing wrong with the fruits and veggies that weren't grown organically.
Pink slime is nasty looking, but it's mostly used by fast foods place, so it's easy to avoid. Also, fun fact: Kobe beef sold in the US isn't really Kobe beef. |

the wax, pesticides and some hormones are not really a problem.
Pink slime and chicken nuggets on the other side are pure crap, the lowest quality meat ever, just go to your local butchery and ask for the right cuts. |

I don't care that much about organic but I go for organic fruit whenever possible because it's generally grown better and /tastes/ a lot better.
(Pink slime is basically just liquid meat. It's not THAT weird). |
