I'm probably a minority, but I assumed that if humanized, he would be chubby. Didn't his adult form in Season 2 Episode 10 show him with some considerable pudge? |

Well, like any little kid Spike thinks with his stomach. I'm guessing his problem here is too many hours sitting around in Twilight's library and not enough running around to burn those calories off.
Rainbow Dash needs to put him on an exercise program. Either that, or Applejack needs to put him to work on the farm. |
