Lol, someone who uses the term sexual deviant. |
| Anonymous #1401524 2 months ago |
I think it started as a joke, and evolved into regular use from there. |
| Anonymous #1401530 2 months ago |
And another thing, both words make absolutely no sense~
("clop" is not the sound masturbation makes, neither is "yiff" for sex) |
| Gentle_Coltte_of_Leisure #1401533 2 months ago |
Well, when a group gets big enough they need to start using really silly terms for things like beating off or fucking.
It's the way of things, like the popularity of the word "fap" to begin with. |
| Jack-o-Lantern #1401546 2 months ago |
@Anon530
Clop is the sound hooves make when they hit against a hard surface.... Think about it :D |
| cromwell15 #1401551 2 months ago |
Yes |
| Danielakiiki #1401567 2 months ago |
@Anon530, the term 'Clop' might have derived from this particular image >>2638 |

Anonymous@1401530 said: Actually, and this is from a friend from the furry community, apparently "yiff" is a sound that foxes make when they mate. The more you know! ... but probably didn't wan't to, as I did not. :S |
| Sonlir #1401632 2 months ago |
@SomeponyTheVectorer I thought "Yiff" used to mean "Yes" in a made up furry fox language.
Oh well. |

Sonlir@1401632 said: Lol, yeah I have no idea what's true. Not too inspired to research it either lol. |
| Anonymous #1401665 2 months ago |
Is the human invention of the "fap" slang just another similarity they have to Furries ("yiff") and Bronies ("clop")? All three groups include some bizarre sexual deviants, and require specific terminology to point that out.

@Gentle_Coltte_of_Leisure
Do you know any more groups/fandoms that use word substitutes for sexually related activities? |
| Anonymous #1401690 2 months ago |
I alway thought that those words what first intend to be a way of censoring those thing and made them more avoidable by not using normal keywords. |
| TheLoneLampman #1401693 2 months ago |
I believe that 'yiff', along side of 'yip' and 'yap' used to be just happy sounds foxes made. Yet 'yiff' has evolved into essentially two meanings: yiff=fuck and yiffy=horney. That is a term strictly for subject. (unless things have changed drastically in the last decade)
Clop has a multitude of uses still including its original sound and playing off of that. Please stop with this brony=furry bullshit already. It's getting nowhere but old. |

Clop is the sound of a equine walking. I don't understand why it's applied to masturbation. It sounds painful. I know I don't want anything that can break wood and nail up stuff near my junk. There would be so much blood... |
| TheLoneLampman #1401736 2 months ago |
^ Because it's funny, dude. That's the whole joke.
We aren't serious about the usage of the word in that context. |
| Coo #1401742 2 months ago |
Pretty much |
| Anonymous #1401743 2 months ago |
TheLoneLampman@1401736 said: If it's not serious, why are we having this type of discussion? The whole term of 'clopping' sounds dumb, and I can never understand someone who get's off on 'clop fics'. They're so silly, and for some reason they have their own category. That's just stupid. |
| Anonymous #1401744 2 months ago |
Every fandom where non-human caracters was involve (probably even machine one) was compare to furries. |
| Anonymous #1401752 2 months ago |
I think of these ponies as alines anyway, so I never really thought of them as attractive. That's like thinking the last form of friezza (or any alien on that show) is hot. That's just weird. |
| TheLoneLampman #1401784 2 months ago |
Why are we having this type of discussion? Because the OP seems to think that bronies are like furries based on the usage of slang.
Yes, there's 'clop fics' (I don't/haven't read them but imagine are popular for various reasons) but those type of fan-fics have been part of every single fandom more or less so that's a moot point. |
| Anonymous #1401789 2 months ago |
TheLoneLampman@1401784 said: Yeah, OP's logic could be applied to any fandom in existence, so that's why I don't care what he thinks. |

Furries miss the rage and trolling we took for us |
| Rainbowtron #1402838 2 months ago |
The big difference is that the material on which the fandom is based encourages creating new words for things. The writers do it themselves. |
| Anonymous #1403058 2 months ago |
Oh he made a joke about furries. That's so last decade. |
| Anonymous #1403234 2 months ago |
For the British it's "Wankers". Discuss. |
| Anonymous #1429681 1 month ago |
agree with liquidxtc. *boooooooooooooring*. haters gonna hate, trolls gonna troll. talk to the hoof, wiseguy. ignore the morons, bronies, furries have been putting up with them for years, and they think it's the same thing with bronies. |
| Anonymous #1449638 1 month ago |
Clopping was originally strictly for the characters (I presume), since the point would be to have, you know, hooves in order to do it. Yiffing was the sound the sexual actors made with their mouths.
Then autists and ponyphiles came and stole the word. |
