Besides that, the whole project seemed kind of silly to me in the first place. Pay the company to run an ad simply to thank the show's creators? That's not actually how an advertisement works... |

They supposedly already have enough money for the costs, all excess goes/will go to charity. Part of the commercial is to encourage donating to charity, too. This isn't strictly a 'fandom circle-jerk', contrary to popular belief.
I'm still not crazy about it, but it looks to be coming together a lot more respectably than it first appeared. |
