My suggestion is that True Bronies turn this around by using Fluffy-Pony as a kind of Mascot or Inspiration fuel to spread awareness of Real-Life Animal Abuse. For example, point to the Fact that Real-Bronies do not approve of Animal Abuse and that this is a very Masculine stance to take. Real-Men experience the Full-ness of life without reservation; they don't write an experience or expression off because Society says that to do so is a sign of Weakness. Bullshit! Choosing to Love something even when you might be looked down on for it is the highest duty and it means standing up for what you Feel and Know to be True. What is more Manly than that? |

Conservatives also associate personal causes with "True (noun)" and manliness, which is intended to be a backhanded insult to those who simply don't agree. Manliness is doing what you want. Not expecting others to do so as well. Anonymous is not your personal army. Fluffy ponies are not a vehicle for some pet issue (puntastic!). There are no "True Bronies," "Real-Bronies" or "MASCULINE STANCES" (aside from those made by Hulk Hogan). Manliness isn't advocating conformity. In fact, manliness is saying TO HELL WITH IT. So here I say, to hell with your attempt to co-opt the fluffy fandom. If you want to go crusade against animal abuse, POWER TO YA! Just don't try to drag the rest of us into it. And typing what can be interpreted as backhanded insults to those who don't want to be dragged into it, intentionally or not, well, fuck you, too. You want real men? Go to a gay pride parade. Lots of men there. Besides, a common theme in fluffy stories is that animal activists are the assholes who started the fluffy problem in the first place. So yeah. The only fuel fluffies should be is for the bonfire an OC started to roast them all. |

Censorship isn't the answer and I really don't have anything against artists and writers who produce Fluffy Pony Material who do so to explore complex themes and emotions. Yet We also know that a lot of this material is intended to bait and troll anyway. It's actually not that hard to differentiate between things that have a redeeming aspects and are tastefully composed and the latter. Anything We could do to in order to channel this into a Positive thing would only reflect well upon The Internet Community. So when you see Fluffy-Pony Abuse, keep in mind that all over the World right now, there are Animals suffering in the exact same way as Fluffy-Ponies. The only real differences in a lot of cases is that they are real and they cannot talk. That feeling of disgust and revulsion that Fluffy-Pony Abuse inspires in those possessing fully-functioning Empathy Capacity could be channeled into something redeeming. I know that The Brony Community has come together to work with Charities before, so this wouldn't even have to be a stretch if approached tastefully. |
