Try to imagine yourself in the Equineous Period. You get your first look at this "six foot donkey" as you enter a clearing. She moves like a bird, lightly, bobbing her head. And you keep still because you think that maybe her visual acute-ity is based on movement like a dragon, and she'll lose you if you don't move, but no... Not Velocipony. You stare at her, and she just stares right back. And that's when the glomp comes, not from the front, but from the SIDE (Whoosh!), from the other two ponies you didn't even know were there. Because Velocipony's a pack hugger, you see. She uses coordinated attack patterns, and she is out in force today. And she licks at you with this... A six-inch, retractable tongue, like a muscle, in the middle of her face. She doesn't bother to kiss your cheek like a kitten, say... No, no. He licks at you here, or here... Or maybe across the belly, spilling your pride. The point is... You are alive when they start to hug you. So you know... try to show a little respect. |
