Reliable clean energy: fusion works, but it still needs a lot of work. Getting there.
Eliminate hunger and poverty: unsolvable.
World peace: peace is not part of human nature.

World peace would be more plausible if the other two were solved.

Are the Venn diagrams necessary? You could've pulled it off with a list just fine.

Ehhh peace is bad for humanity long term, conflict helps us grow in ways we never thought of, culls the population and drives us forward.

Hunger: If matter can be turned into energy then back matter again then its solvable.
Poverty: in Star Trek earth has abandon the use of currency and look how better off they are.
World peace: possible but its intergalactic peace thats the real challenge.

Yes, I would totally get to work on winning the Nobel Peace Prize, ending poverty worldwide and designing an unlimited energy source if I wasn't distracted by these ponies.

Quick! Show of hands from everybody in a position to do anything on a large scale about these problems!

Now explain how the relatively mundane things us mere mortals can do about said problems (such as donating to a food bank, or working to lower our own energy usage) is being interfered with by caring about something insignificant.

People can, you know, care about big stuff like climate change or your national politics *and* about little stuff like ponies at the same time.

Of course, the people who bring up these comparisons tend to care more about being edgy and upsetting than actually achieving anything positive...

You want world peace? Okay. Hope you enjoy a world filled with people with absolutely no drive to accomplish anything, no reason to innovate, and no effort in what they do.

You remove war, you remove drive and passion, because War is nothing more than those two things on a national scale.
