Loki got knocked up by a horse, and gave birth to an 8 legged horse that his dad rides (although in the movie, they imply that legends like that might be dubious, spread by the Norse who did not like Loki and just wanted to make fun on him). |

You must excuse me, but my Norse Mythology geek side is about to come out. Loki was not the son of Odin in the Norse canon, most stories claim that they we're blood brothers (not related but sworn to uphold one another) while a few actually refer to them as biological brothers. At one point in the Norse canon the gods sent Loki to fix a "problem" so they wouldn't lose a bet (to make a long story short). Being a shape-shifter, he transformed into a mare and lured away the stallion that was helping the mason the gods had bet with. In order to keep the stallion occupied he (or she) had to get down and dirty. Basically Loki disappeared off the map for 9-10 months and returned to Asgard with an eight-legged colt, which he gave to Odin (considering it was unmatched in speed) as an apologetic gift for getting them into the mess they had been in. |
