Okay then OP. How about this?

You should treat flufflies with respect because they are LIVING BEINGS.

And that's why fictional stories shouldn't bother people as much as they do.

@417

They may be fictional, but aren't you feelings real?

And if you enjoy seeing something fictional being tortured, how do you know you won't enjoy it if it was real?

See games for example. Everyday they get more realistic. When games are so close to RL there is almost a difference, are you sure your feelings can be disregarded with an excuse like 'it´s not real'?

I think some people spend way too much time on the Internet if they're legitimately concerned with how people may treat video game characters or, worse yes, pastel-colored tiny horses that can talk if they were no longer video game characters or pastel-colored tiny horses that can talk

Yeah man; I'm fairly certain that I'd be able to let escapism still serve its purpose; I'm not trying to sound condescending, so I apologize if that's how this comes off, but I legitimately don't understand why people care how people treat fictional horses that're supposed to look as unrealistic as possible

Sure, we could probably stand to scale things back a bit, perhaps to Happy Tree Friends levels where the ponies' stupidity gets 'em killed, but hey, schadenfreude is schadenfreude, the fluffy abusers have spoken, it seems

There's a difference, though. While I'm not bothered too much by all the fluffy abuse stories (tag filters ftw) I have a feeling that they could make animal abuse seem somewhat less horrible.

Not that I'm saying everyone who reads/writes these stories will sacrifice some kittens to Satan, but when you hear about some cases in the news you're more likely to go "LOL, like fluffy ponies".

With humans on the other hand... it never seemed bad at all.

You see, the problem isn't with fictional characters dieing. The problem is in people enjoying seeing fictional characters suffer and die.

I know that someone will say something like 'morality is subjective', but seriously it's hard to not paint this like a bad thing.

If one likes fluffabuse stories and abuses actual animals then we should deal with those problems on a per case basis, not take away the stories from everyone because they possibly had a small role in some nutjob animal
abuser's crime.

I wish fluffy ponies were real. They look like they would make fun and hilarious punching bags.
