@704 Based on typical pony names, I'd say there's a pretty low chance they'd name their foal Alison.

Their child will be named Pinkie.
- Expressive-gened Earth Pony
- Daughter of a highly powered unicorn and an alicorn
- Mother's pink coat.

She'll be so powerful she'll time travel as a filly and get adopted by the Pies.

Although I believe this is pure brilliance, I also think its garbage.

I thank you for sharing this with us, I just dont see this as, well... likely.

How can this be likely or unlikely? Unless they have like a dozen children, whatever they end up with won't contradict the picture. It's not really falsifiable.

The fact that Mr. Cakes' family were Earth Ponies up to his great-great-great-great grandparent makes this theory highly unlikely. If his unicorn ancestor passed on his genes without the foal being a unicorn, that would mean there were pegasus genes as well. Several generations would need to have a perfect alignment of unicorn and pegasus genes for this to work.

@Natry, not necessarily. He could pass on two recessive genes, while his wife could pass on one positive gene and one recessive to each child.

I would actually say that Fluttershy's Stare and her ability to talk to animals (which the otherwise excellent theorizing in the image does not account for) might mean that she is uu Pp. Also e+ expression may require that both type traits be dominant to make the individual powerful as that race. In that case Fluttershy could be uu Pp ee, and her pair of powerful out-of-phenotype abilities be attributable to that. I also can understand ee being selected against due to the fact that Rainbow Dash might be in trouble without advanced medical care, and Twilight might not have survived her magical meltdown without an alicorn there to snap her out of it (or at least would have had a hard time attracting a husband/raising children to adulthood due to the risks of being in her vicinity).
