They can be kinda dumb at times. Especially considering their GLARINGLY obvious talents.
Really, it's just when they're together they can be annoying and even that's been toned down from S1 (I wanted to punch them during Show Stoppers). Separately, Sweetie and Apple Bloom have had some of the best episodes this season. Scoots? Eh, let's not talk about it. |

I don't especially like kids.
They were better in season 2, but that was offset by the fact that they appeared a lot more in season 2. I don't watch the show for the CMC's, I watch it for Twilight, Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Fluttershy. And Spike. |

They're pretty bland characters to me, honestly, but it's not like I find them annoying or anything, just not... interesting.
Though I would lie, if I wouldn't say, that I enjoy some of their antics, so their episodes aren't that bad for me. ... I will admit, I'm kinda looking forward to a Scootaloo-episode, too. I really wonder what kind of family she is part of. |

Well they did kinda fix their own disaster in Hearts and Hooves Day.
Poor Scoots, always has to share the limelight. She's like Luigi. Personally, I find them similar to the fucking annoying middle school students who were on the robotics team at my school. The main difference being that the CMC apologize for being destructive little varmits. But I do find the 3 of them cute. |

Most people who dislike them tend to think that as a whole, they get too many episodes.
I disagree with this, especially coming off a season where Rarity, Rainbow, and Pinkie each had more episodes than the Crusaders did. -Rarity: Sisterhooves Social (shared w/ Sweetie Belle), Sweet and Elite, Secret of my Excess (shared w/ Spike) -Rainbow: May the Best Pet Win, The Mysterious Mare Do Well, Read It and Weep -Pinkie: Baby Cakes, A Friend in Deed, MMMystery on the Friendship Express -CMC: Hearts and Hooves Day, Ponyville Confidential. i hate applebloom and the only episode i hated was the newspaper episode because it has the same plot as any episode of a cartoons that deals with writing lies in a newspaper.plus i thought it was unfair that everypony was being rude to them when they should have said that they were forced by diamond tiara or at least describe her anonymously and it confused me when twilight said they should stop "gabby gums" but when they eventually fpund out who it was they started to wimp out and hide from little fillies. Sweetie belle's best crusader btw. |

They're cute, and fine, but I'm just rather... stumped... that we're now officially two seasons in and none of them have gotten their cutie marks xD I would've thought we'd get at least one per season, you know? For character development? Any time we see them they're doing the exact same thing and it gets them no where.
But as characters, I really do like them. They're cute. |

I actually like their episodes quite a bit. I can't think of anything negative to say about them...other than Scootaloo being almost and expy of Rainbow, but that's me being nitpicky. I consider her the worst of the trio.
Also some episodes include some of the main cast, like that Sweetie Belle + Rarity episode. It was so awwwwww. |

1) Way too much screen time. It wouldn't be as bad if they supplemented OTHER episodes, but they get their OWN episodes too much. They would be more tolerable if they just made a lot of cameos and stuff. For example, "Stare Master" had a nice mix of mane cast and CMC.
2) Sweetie Belle has almost no redeeming qualities. Her one talent, singing, rarely ever comes up. Otherwise, she's just a fuck-up. Seriously, is she good at ANYTHING besides making Rarity's life miserable? Does she ever do anything that's legitimately sweet without destroying something in the process? 3) Applebloom doesn't have much character outside of "country bumpkin". I'm sorry, but we already HAVE a country bumpkin who's a mane character that the writers don't do nearly enough with. Applebloom accents Applejack nicely enough, but I would prefer that Applejack get more of the spotlight. 4) The CMC don't really DO anything. They only problems they solve are the one's that they themselves create. All of their lessons boil down to "We shouldn't have done that thing that we did." I might not mind a CMC episode where they go on a legitimate adventure without screwing everything up in the process. Maybe they can save Ponyville from an unknown threat or something. |

They're kids. They are not out there to save the world or sold others' problems. In that aspect, they're infinitely more realistic than most cartoon kids. |
