The little blurbs that inspired this picture:
Anonymous 05/08/12(Tue)21:17 No.1812746 >>1812662 >Contrary to popular belief, fluffy sea ponies do exist >The gene is recessive and incredibly rare >Occasionally a dam will give birth to one though >Most drown shortly after birth >fluffy sea ponies have gills instead of lungs >>1812746 >of course, being fluffy ponies, the fluffy sea ponies drown when underwater despite their gills >nothing is done to rectify this |

That's stupid. Even though I don't like most of his stories, I'm gonna go with Joy-Killr on the fact that seaponies can't drown. |

Nothing is wrong, sigh. Sea ponies don't drown. Fluffy sea ponies on the other hand do drown.
And everything is alright. |

That lacks any sort of logic |

I still find that stupid.
Also I found an inconsistency: one has flippers, the other one has hooves. |

@sigh - Well, the sea fluffy's saying "new fwiend," so I'm guessing that finless fluffy is a regular fluffy that has just been dumped (or gone willingly) in the water. And the rest if history... |

@ Sigh
Maybe it's a normal pony and a seapony? and fish can drown, so fluffy seaponies should be able to aswell. |

Shoop shoop shoo be doo.
I think it's implied the fluffy sea pony offered huggies to a fluffy earth pony. The fluffy earth pony, being stupid, accepted the offer and went in the water for huggies. The fluffy earth pony, being a fluffy earth pony, drowned before it could hug the fluffy sea pony back. The fluffy sea pony was confused, but not the least bit remorseful. |

561: "Fish can drown,"
Uhh . . . You do know that Dolphins and Whales are not Fish but Cetaceans right? They are Water-born Mammals that breathe air, which is why they can drown. |

@ Anon858
Yes, I know the difference between Marine Mammals and Fish. Fluffy Seaponies evidently have Gills, if Anon382's post is correct. so, I guess that makes them fish. Fish will drown if there's not enough Oxygen in the water. their gills can't filter out enough oxygen, so they end up drowning. |
