Aren't king bugs usually really small and only used for sex? |

What? Already? |

King bugs? I don't think there are any bugs with a male ruler. If you're talking about sheer gender sizes, then yes, there are species of bug where males are bigger. Actually Chrysalis reminded me a bit of a Rhinoceros beetle so I threw that in the mix. In that species the males are bigger and more agressive then the females.

well considering that chrysalis' species operated as a swarm i always thought they would be more akin too ants, termites, bees, wasps, hornets and one type of communal spider from the amazon area (not sure species name) so in that spirit i would assume the males would be small, have sex with her at wich point they would either simply die or if they're bees thier penises would explode inside her as a kind of plug to stop other males breeding with her, as an aside one bee queen was found with 12 such plugs in her...so yeah bug anatomy.... |

That is exactly the thing that made me think all her followers were males. To be honest Changelings act like swarm insects, were inspired by moths (specifically a moth-eaten look) and butterflies (a chrysalis is a stage of pupa of butteflies). And I personally think the colour+horn resembled a rhinosceros beetle. I could've gone many other ways but I liked drawing this one :) |

Okay, now I know he's some sort of fairy. Those cannons have no right supporting his weight. |

@Lunacy, the first ones were out max 1 day after the release of the episode
And most termites have a king and queen, ruling along each other. |
