Well in Cadance's defense, she's probably tired and weak as hell due to being stuck down there and away from her lover for unsaid period of time that could span to several days. |

It has been repeatedly mentioned that Twilight is freaky powerful with multiple types of magic where most unicorns only have one or two spells. So it's possible Cadence's telekinesis is way weaker than Twi's meaning pushing a loaded cart physically was easier than lifting the rocks magically.
Also its clear Cadence is all like emotional and stuff and probably isn't thinking straight/rationally. Note that she essentially pushes the cart off a cliff without looking where it goes. |
