Celestia x Luna is great as clop fuel, but like most slash pairings, any actual attempt at shipping them seriously is pretty stupid. Just because I enjoy clopping to something doesn't mean I'd ever want the characters to actually behave that way.
Having said that, I can at least understand the appeal behind the "Princest" pairing in the fandom. Celestia and Luna are really the only constants in each other's lives, and after all these centuries they'd obviously have a strong attachment to each other. Some people legitimately believe that the next logical step would be for Celestia to take Luna as her mate, even though they are sisters. Like I said, as an actual ship it's really stupid (like most ships in general), but even though I don't support it, I will at least concede that it does make for an enjoyable (if kinky) fantasy. |
