AK-47s are a little over-rated. Yeah, they can tear things up, but they're not that amazing. You can't even lay prone with one unless you hold it like it a gangsta, which is inviting trouble either way. |

But they're having to prop themselves on their elbows and hold their heads up higher than with other assault rifles or even old bolt-action rifles, because of the shape of the AK's magazine.
That's the problem, you can't lay as flat as possible with an AK. Your melon is much easier to see and aim for. |
