"Do a movie about G1 stories G4 style" was really all you needed to say. You could have omitted the other part about G3+3.5 since it had dick-all to do with the subject.

@Lampman: to put it simply, G1 was HARDCORE.
They kidnapped ponies, utterly destroyed their being, created town-burning dragons, nearly drowned the good guys, and finally the bad guys were blown up. |

Sorry, I understand that was silly of me, but I think people are getting the wrong impression about the series proper from the pilot. I seen all 60 or so episodes twice. I like the series, I really do. It's really bad, but fun to watch because of the camp value. I just don't think it's appropriate to act like it's this super dark, metal album cover every episode and you should know that, CottonTales. |

The only thing good from G1 were the characters and the pilot. |
