It's cute, but I can't accept it in my headcanon when he's using offensive spells and gets a shield out of it. |

I don't think that was an offensive spell. Looked more like a teleport, and the cutie mark represents him defending Twilight. |

Ooooh, my bad, I thought he effectively cast lightning bolt at them. Seems like a bit much when Twilight simply poofs for her teleports. |

GreyAcumane, I think it's mostly to show she's teleporting, where it's a bit harder to represent that easily in comic form. :) |
