i hate all my past drawings.... and my roommate hates me. |
| Bolan #1381188 2 months ago |
Yes. All the time. I drew an amazing pony while doodling then gave up. |

Aside from the 'punching my roommate in the dick' part, yes.
That's why I stick to digital art. It's much easier to undo my stupid mistakes. |

I've yet to get passed step 1. I can't draw something that I'm happy with after stepping away and coming back 15 minutes later.
Also it's my brother I dick-punch not my room-mate. Close enough I suppose? |

I think I got past this point when I begun treating all of my drawings like shit. If I keep drawing I'll get better and I won't have to hate myself anymore, right ? RIGHT ? |

I usually just let stuff flow out and pick the best ones. When you try to recreate something perfectly it just leads to frustration. |
| Anonymous #1381275 2 months ago |
Well, yes, but you know there's only one way forward. Fight through the pain mate. |

Rule that you should keep in mind: YOUR ART WILL ALWAYS BE SHIT. I tell myself this every single day and have achieved amazing improvements over the las 9 months. If you tell yourself its shit then you want too keep on improving, always keep your self esteem at an all time low but not that low that you loose interest in art.
Works for me but maybe not for others. |

I ask because this pretty much describes my day. I managed to push past it eventually and wound up drawing for almost three hours, which is a record for me. It was mostly just frustration though.
Luckily my roommate (or basement-suite-mate, I guess) is rarely home. |

Sort of...
I drew a "thank you" picture for ZePassionateOne the other day. I liked the way the muzzle in the sketch came out so much that I couldn't find a way to go back over it without ruining it. I ended up colouring the sketch layer. It's been a long time since there's been something I've drawn that I'm kinda proud of, even a minor thing like that. =/ |

One of the reasons why I do not draw a lot. |
| Bolan #1381383 2 months ago |
Now if you don't mind, I need to go punch someone in the dick. |
| Anonymous #1381398 2 months ago |
@Bolan
Bolan, pls. |

drawing in itself is the fun part. The results can only be redeeming for a short while. Just keep drawing. |

You have NO idea just how right you are. Soon, my pretties. Soon. |
| Adinxs #1381585 2 months ago |
Yes, but I tend to punch MYSELF in the dick. |

If this is true, you can measure your success in how many lineages you have stopped from continuing. |

I tend to just cut the middleman and go straight to the punching of the roommates.
But not in the dick. I'm a professional. I have standards. Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to inflict the most effective harm to everybody you meet. |

Dear gosh, yes.
Beside the punching dick part... |
