I've always imagined them in this order (oldest to youngest)
Rarity - She claims that she "waited forever" until she got her cutiemark. Since AJ claims she was younger than the CMC when she got hers (yet still a late bloomer), I'm placing Rarity in the school year(s) above her. Fluttershy - Not because of the body type, but because of the comment to Pinkie AJ - Basically the boss at Sweet Apple Acres, even though her brother is older. AJ and Fluttershy is shifting places now and then just because I imagine them very close in age. Twilight - Still studying, allthough on a higher level than most ponies do finish Rainbow Dash - She commented on being the youngest in her year to get a cutiemark. Which means that Fluttershy needs to be at least a year above her as well Pinkie Pie - No one takes her really seriously (except for her twitchy tail) which could be not only for her personality, but because of her being a bit younger than the rest. She's the only one that lives with some kind of parent figures, which could be because she haven't gotten a lot of experience yet with being on her own, moving directly from the rock farm to Ponyville. |

#1381719: That's mainly a concern for writers, Sibsy does storyboarding... so she's mainly in charge of positions and angles of characters, less risk of unintentional inspiration as her work's different. |
