Canon has a higher priority than Fanon. The fanon will always be changed depending on the canon. It just takes a while. Many people don't think very much about fanon stuff. They just draw her how they like to. Some change the color, some keep it for artistic reasons or because they prefer it that way. Canonically everyone agrees that her eye color is magenta. |

OP: Give the art more time to come in. I'm sure you'll see more and more with the proper color. Of course, some will continue to use red for whatever reasons. You also failed to observe the 'fixing' of several pictures as well.

Sigh. Canon > Fanon, whether we like it or not.
It'll take a while, but if they haven't found a way to work the old colour into their headcanon (like, say, she wears red contact lenses at raves), the canon eye colour will gradually win out in art. The only exception to this I've seen is the fight over the name of Incidental Unicorn #2 (a.k.a Lyra a.k.a Heartstrings), where the vast majority of fans & artists, myself included, decided to just outright reject canon and keep using the fan name primarily (and yes I'm aware of blind bag wave #3 in Europe, but we don't know if the US will get those or if they'll incorporate the changes after wave #2). |
