I think Spike finally found the courage (probably with the help of Luna) to ask Rarity (They both have a fire ruby -equivalent to a ring I guess- and they wear formal attire), who said yes. They're crying of joy while the other girls are watching them, ready to celebrate the event.
Well, that or Spike is comforting her after her experience with Blueblood. |

The title says "A night of farewells". I'm guessing that the main 6 are going their seperate ways after this party, and Spike and Rarity are saying their goodbyes in private. Rarity's breaking down because she's loved Spike all this time but never gotten around to admitting it, and now that they're splitting off, the relationship's never gonna happen. It's tearing the both of them up. |
