I imagine it would be very difficult to focus your magic on a single string and pluck with enough precision to make music. |

I imagine that for a unicorn (expecially one that's more experienced in magic), using simple magic like plucking a string is just as easy as moving your bodyparts. Only it's even more effective, as she can pluck ALL the strings at once even at more places, which would be quite hard with hands only. |
