I love how twilight and spike are in the exact same pose. It gives the impression that celestia just magicked twilight's family away without her realizing, so she could usurp their role in twilight's heart. |

Such a sweet picture. And thanks for adding spike in there too, because I feel that despite the introduction of Shining Armor, spike's still a part of twilight's family. I tend to think that since Celestia took care of spike, when Twilight was mature enough to have him in Canterlot, their relationship was more formal. But as they moved to ponyville and she learned more about friendship, spike became a little brother to her. Spike took the role of little brother, since twi and shining armor drifted apart, leaving spike to become a family member to her. Besides, it's implied in Dragon Quest and Secret of My excess, that they either kept in touch, or hung out sometimes. |
