The problem with fluffies is that pretty much any headcannon version of them has them reproducing at a ridiculous rate. Mares can become pregnant at only 3 months of age and gestation lasts only 2 - 3 weeks. Like a rabbit, a mare can become pregnant almost immediately after birth. Their rapid reproductive rate combined with their appetites and a tendency to shit anywhere it pleases them makes them a type of vermin. A cute, speaking vermin but vermin nonetheless. That's not to say that they can't live happy, healthy lives in captivity like domesticated rats. In the wild, if they get out of control, they can be an infestation. |
