I'll be uploading the cover, disc art, and disc menus to my Deviant Art sometime next week, along with more pictures of the finished set. I will not be making finished sets for other people since I like not being in jail, although there's a decent tutorial on Youtube about making your own. It's a project that will take a while, but the results are very nice. |

I vote for BDs. DVD video standarts are a bit outdated. |

^ Correction: MPEG-2 Part 2 |

Yeah, DVD uses some pretty outdated codecs. Even if we ignore the ridiculously big capacity of Blu-Ray discs, the codecs have come a long way since the DVD standards were set. The reason no-one in the fandom is making custom Blu-Rays though, is because no-one has Blu-Ray burners, and it's a lot harder to find authoring software-- not to mention that most of the high-quality hubble-less videos available are in 720p and not 1080p.
Hasbro should just make a freaking Blu-Ray set! |

If I can't find a DVD box set...
I'll MAKE a DVD box set! ![]() |

iTunes does offer 1080p versions now, but your system has to be able to display 1080p resolution in order to play them back.
The only reason they haven't made season box sets yet is because they need to be certain there will be enough buyers for 30,000 box sets in North America alone. Unfortunately, I don't think this fandom is that big. Yet. It's only a matter of time, now. :) |

^ I'm not really into iTunes, what does it require to get 1080ps?
A FullHD monitor? VGA capable of offloading AVC decoding (well duh, all DirectX 10+ boards are capable of this through either DXVA or VDPAU)? |

Does iTunes versions still have problems with color correction, sound volume, and frame clipping? |
| aceofscarabs #1367378 2 months ago |
Make 'em data disc DVDs laden with h.264 codec episodes, then. |
| Anonymous #1367611 2 months ago |
BUzer: The color in the iTunes versions seems to be better, but there's still the issue of color banding (in areas where there are gradients) |

/r/ link to original images so that we too can print it out. |

anon 1367611: H.264 codec doesn't handle gradients very well, I guess. |

(ahem) I have a blu-ray burner, and authoring software. I plan on making a blu-ray set for each season if Hasbro never comes out with a region 1 box set. I think Hasbro (or that company they sold the region 1 rights to) will come out with a box set eventually, though.
If they don't, then I'll make my own; but I'll never make the discs available to the community, because I don't want to end up in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. But honestly, a blu-ray burner and authoring software can be had for far less than a single high-end plushie on eBay. |

^ Is "one high-end plushie on eBay" the new SI unit for prices? ;) |
