Of course! Everyone knows that glass is the best material to use if you want a lightweight yet durable material in order to deflect an enemy's sword while still being able to cut your way through their own inferior steel plate. I mean come on, it's elementary smithing. |

^ I know this is 2 months out of date but in TES, Glass is made out of a metal called Malachite, not actually sand glass used for panes and stuff. |
