Q vs Picard once again!
How I've always envisioned it. Before the time of the princess twins there was one great mage who's power could alter reality. That was Star Swirl the Bearded. The only one in all of equestria who could create a place safe from Discord. There he raised two young fillies and taught them all he knew. When the time for the final battle came around he stood against Discord alone till he was beaten. The wishes of all ponies in the world for harmony gathered around his body. He was able to Chanel his energy into the six bells of his hat. Taking the bells the two fillies now adults stood against Discord and as he laughed at their attempt they sealed him in stone. Starswirl told them to safe guard the Elements of Harmony, naming them. With what was left of his life and energy he gave the two fillies an unending life so they may always be ready in case Discord breaks from his prison. Sadly Celestia let her student deal with Discord and not go against him herself. |
