From the looks of it it will take place during the Afghan-Soivet conflict.
Afghan guerrillas used horses as transportation because they were more effective in mountainous areas than wheeled vehicles. |

Ok scratch that I didn't watch the trailer and assumed it will take place in a past conflict like Black Ops did.
Now that I've seen it I'm kind of disappointed, it's some futuristic bullshit. |

Actually, I'd buy Black Ops 2 if it was only that setting. American special operations in Soviet Afghanistan is a gold mine of a concept, but the Soviet-Afghan war gets no attention from the media for whatever reason. |
