You are aware that EqD has held plenty of donation drives before, right? Those were all massive successes and they went to good causes, the briefest glimpse at the website has links to at least three different fundraisers.
While I'm on the subject, why the fuck is it so wrong for us to pool our money and thank the people who make something we enjoy possible in a way that no other fandom, to the best of my knowledge, has ever done? Why is it shameless self promotion? How exactly does it make us look bad? I guess we're just supposed to take your word for it. 4/10 You got me to type a couple paragraphs, but I felt like responding to idiots on the internet anyway. |

i'm not annon, i disagree with op in the fact that the idea is "shameless" and "self-promoting" considering it's a thank you, but i have to agree that the money could have gone to a charity rather than a comercial. you can thank the people at the hub website. |

Money going to an ad agency is giving the ad people money. Circulating money in general is good.
Plus, bronies still do quite a lot of charity work on the side. |
