they're goddesses they don't have to follow your rules |
| Anonymous #1355255 2 months ago |
right okay. so explain how a white pony and a blue pony can be sister. |
| PonyPon #1355267 2 months ago |
color isn't hereditary in equestria |
| Anonymous #1355274 2 months ago |
because ponies and horses can pop out with different fur colors, humans on the other hand cannot. now this would be a completely different story if their skin colors were actually blue and white. but that's not the case here is it. |
| Anonymous #1355294 2 months ago |
sorry if my opinion is offending somehow but that's how i see it and that's how i'm stating it and nothing you say will change my mind. honestly, we can go on for hours on this subject but i'm just here for ponies so lets just leave it be. |
| CottonTales #1355295 2 months ago |
@5274
well nobody ever said they were full sisters...that settles everything |
| OzarkBrony #1355323 2 months ago |
Yeah this is cute and all, but... genetics do not work that way.
And before anybody else gets onto me about how the real characters have different fur colours, well... fur-colour genetics DO work that way. Fur colour =/= skin colour. A for cuteness, but D- for forced diversity. |

Why the hell do people have a problem with the skin tone of humanized versions of fictional, pastel colored ponies? Let me rephrase: why the hell do people have a problem with the skin tone in humanized versions of fictional, pastel colored ponies - if it's anything other than white? It's the artist's choice to pick whatever colors he or she wants. Hell, maybe it was for the contrast. Maybe black is the closest to blue. Maybe you can look completely different from your siblings and still consider them to be your family. (Did somepony miss out on the lesson in Dragon Quest?) |
| Poptard #1355443 2 months ago |
My problem with this skin toning is that they have different tones, as in "they can't possibly be sisters" different. I like white Solar Sisters, I like caramel Solar Sisters, and I like chocolate Solar Sisters, but mixing them comes across to me as more of a "forced diversity" schtick than a real artistic direction on the artist's part. |

@Poptard
I dunno my sister is only slightly darker than the Celestia in the pic and I'm easily as dark as the luna in the pic |
| Anonymous #1356313 2 months ago |
LMFAO so many of the comments on this picture reek of ignorance. |
| NexsiPoni #1356581 2 months ago |
Goddesses do not genetics, your argument is invalid. |

Help! White bitch just kidnapped my nigga! |
| Anonymous #1356700 2 months ago |
If you have mixed parents can't the children have different skin tones? Also, they're deities, I'm pretty sure Zeus didn't give a fuck about racial background. |

| Drefsab #1357473 2 months ago |
Why is the character that never sees the sunlight black? |
| Anonymous #1357543 2 months ago |
@Drefsab Holy fuck you're retarded. BLACK PEOPLE ARE BORN BLACK. |
| Anonymous #1357727 2 months ago |
No one here knows how genetics work, so I don't think any people should be talking. Go back to school instead of bitching about pony color. Who knows, you may get a girlfriend, considering its probably all grown males bitching about colors.
Oh, and I love how funny your trolls are. You trolls can't think of a real funny thing to say to mess with the person, so you just throw out slurs. Jeez, at least try. MLP trolls might be the most lamest trolls in the world. |
| Anonymous #1358277 2 months ago |
Naw, MLP trolls are no different than any other troll. |
| Anonymous #1368007 2 months ago |
Skin colors can pop up randomly, eg. white family with black relatives a few generations back producing a black kid. Blonde haired blue-eyed kids occasionally pop up in Africa due to what I can only guess is some form of mutation. Someone else already mentioned mixed race parents... Geez, people should learn how biology works before they try and dictate what wouldn't be possible.
The picture is cute. c: |

guys..just enjoy the art, if you guys don't like it then draw somesthing better... |
| Anonymous #1382500 2 months ago |
Lol, to the people saying that siblings can't have different skin tones. First of all research this stuff, because you seem to know nothing. Second my brother is white and I'm brown, we're 100% related so I'm sorry that we're 'forcing diversity'. |
| Anonymous #1426748 1 month ago |
guys im in biology AP and i can tell you for sure, that genetics do work that way, http://www.pbs.org/race/000_About/002_04-teachers-06.htm here is a link for punnett squares of skin color. you see skin color is not a complete dominate trait where if you have a genetic donor with the dominate trait it will completely mask the recessive trait instead, skin color is a incomplete dominant trait, which means there can be far more then just "black" and "white" options and it is also a polygenetic trait (which means the skin tone is affected by more then one gene) therefore we can easily get a darker child from a lighter mother or other genetic donor if the circumstances occur. |
