This makes perfect sense, a lot of spoiled assholes are like that because their busy parents thought the way to go was just shove some babysitter for them while showering them with toys and what not to fool themselves into thinking they're good parents. |

He's likely older than Rarity, which would put him, Cadence and Armor all in the same age bracket. Something I consider more interesting as a Canterlot Trio - Blueblood being the "bad boy" (though few ponies realize it) and Armor being the "boyscout" and Cadence being the "peacemaker" (who would be BB's close relative to boot, sadly nipping the love triangle in the bud). |

I see your fan theory and offer a counter-preposal:
Blueblood is a direct descendant of the royal family of the Unicorn tribes. The unicorns ceremonially adopted the semi-divine alicorns and granted them almost all the royal powers as thanks for saving the mortal ponies from Discord. Blueblood has become a callous playboy because with the "Princesses" acting as regents on behalf of the ruling family for the rest of their lives (read; longer than Equestria will exist, more than likely) , he and the entire noble class are reduced to a decorative and parasitic fringe group forever. He is bitter becuase he knows he is essentially powerless, and he knows he can't change it, and even if he could, it wouldn't be what is best for Equestria, jokes of Troll/Molester/Tyrant Celestia aside. |

I agree that Blueblood is around the same age as Main Six/Rarity. He just sounded young and didn't seem very mature, he is just big because he's a tall guy.

I bet you Cadence was a horrible foalsitter.
Oh, it's true she did well with Twilight. EVERYPONY in a position of authority does well with Twilight. She's a nerdy suckup, always has been. She's thrown into fits if she thinks her teacher might believe she's gotten tardy. She'd probably jump off a cliff if Celestia sked her to. On top of that, she only sits around and READS. And she doesn't have any friends except her big brother, whom Cadence managed to stake her claim on early from the looks of things. She's easy to foalsit, because all she does is sit on her flanks all day. Compare that to Pound Cake and and Pumpkin Cake, who are rambunctious NOW, and they're still toddlers. I wonder how Cadence would've managed them. |
