Twilight Sparkle --> Fluttershy
Because she ends up in Fluttershy's body, Twilight can't cast the spell again to fix everything. She has to depend on the other unicorns in town to try, but there are problems involved that I'll explain later. On a side note, Spike ends up in Owlowiscious, so he can't call Celestia for help. In the drawing, she's trying to reassure everyone and keep them from panicking. Although, it's not very convincing coming from the pony who tends to panic first. Fluttershy --> Pinkie Pie Fluttershy tends to take her flying ability for granted and never really tries to improve. Taking care of her animal friends was always more important to her. But when she loses that ability, she realizes how much she depended on it. She can't take care of the flying animals, and has trouble keeping up with the ones on the ground. I drew her sitting in the corner, looking up at Twilight flying around in her body. Pinkie Pie --> Rarity This was one of the easiest to represent, but the hardest to justify in the sense of the story. I just thought it'd be cute to see Rarity bouncing around and getting her hair all mixed up. Rarity --> Applejack Being generous is easy when it involves giving people things they need and acting kind. Rarity's generosity would get put to the test when she ends up in Applejack's body. She finds herself having to do a lot of work to keep her friends' farm running. I drew her staring longingly at her body with that adorable pouting face she had from the Lesson Zero episode. Applejack --> Rainbow Dash While Rarity tries to take care of the farm, AJ has to take on Rainbow's chores. At first they seem easy, but it turns out there's more to handling clouds than just stomping on them. Applejack would fly through them when she means to push, or she'd try to stomp one out and instead cause lightning. I really had no idea what to draw to communicate this switch better. I just had her floating clumsily while being bemused by that messy mane with pretty colors. Rainbow Dash --> Twilight Sparkle The main story of the episode would be about Twilight getting all the unicorns in town together to teach them how to reverse the spell. Unfortunately, none of them were unicorns until just a few hours ago. The process of learning magic proves especially difficult for Rainbow because she never struggled to learn anything. She breezes through all the things she knows, and dismisses most things she doesn't. But task is just too important to leave alone. The process becomes even more frustrating when she sees that Pinkie Pie has got a better handle on using magic than her. Unfortunately, Twilight might be the only pony with enough power to actually fix the spell which means all the responsibility falls to RD. |
