That's why they had an incredibly advanced society and a firm grasp of astronomy and mathematics. That's also why they believed they could take their fursuits in the afterlife so they could, quite literally, yiff in hell. |

Hipster Anubis: Yiffing in hell before it was popular. |

And then there was Minotauros and the Centaurs in Greece...
Furries existed everywhere at every time. I also remember that there had been modern Furry art even before I was born. I always thought It exists only because of the internet today. |

In fact "modern" furry art can be traced back to 1880 No, I don't mean 1980 I mean 1880 |
| Lium #1344093 2 months ago |
^ Not that modern then. |
| Anonymous #1344107 2 months ago |
^ You're misunderstanding. "modern" as in how you imagine a furry/anthro character now. Not actual modern times. Like in 1880 the anatomy/design of "furries" in art would be similar in style to those now. |

Real furry art of the furry fandom as we know it, or do you mean funny animals like Mikey Mouse and Felix the Cat? |
| Anonymous #1344155 2 months ago |
^ Well the collective idea of the furry fandom wasn't really around until the mid-late 1960's |
| Anonymous #1344169 2 months ago |
@Cgeta
I don't know how you define the furry fandom but the furry fetish has been around for...well a long long time really |
| Anonymous #1344180 2 months ago |
^ True, but the fandom isn't all about the sexual part of course. |
| Cgeta #1344205 2 months ago |
Yeah, I guess that sexual fantasies with half animal half humans has been there for ages.
And the furry fandom being here since 1960's is interesting. I guess it exlpoded now because of the internet. And yeah, anthropomorphic creatures existed likely for as long as animation exists. Not neccesarily as a part of a furry fandom, but general. |
