Nothing the show ruins the cannon. The show is cannon. What is present on the show should take priority over the fanon.
You can tell that OP is trying so hard to wrap his mind over the fact that there's other alicorns, but his stupid headcanon wont allow him to accept it. This is a kids show, and it's upsetting him so much, and it's kinda sad. |

The show is canon, you say? How about this: During the flashback, Twilight calls Cadence a unicorn. Cadence looks younger in the flashback than when she's at the wedding. Cadence only actually uses her wings in one scene. I've been given the impression that her wings are mostly cosmetic, and maybe not even natural. It'd make sense for her to want to be more like Celestia out of reverence or jealousy, and have herself magically modified to look like an alicorn. She's royalty, so it's not like she couldn't afford to hire somepony to do this. She's as much of an alicorn as Blueblood is. |

fun fact most creatures in the show are base on greek or roman mythology so yeah gods & goddesses.

@801: Actually, we have plenty evidence they take at least Celestia as their god, both Rarity and Fluttershy say "Celestia is my withness", in "Sisterhooves Social" and "Putting Your Hoof Down" respectivelly, and in "The Last Roundup", Rainbow Dash says "In the name of Celestia, just sit there and do nothing!" to Derpy, so, yeah, Celestia=god figure is pretty much canon as far as I am concerned. |

@919: Er... I just said they are considered as a "god figure", not really a god(despite the fact I do belive it is the case), you pretty much confirmed what I said further.
And yes, I know how monarchy works(and I better know, I didn't expend hours reading books about an useless-ass subject for History class to simply forget it latter...), I just think Celestia as she is don't enforce the absolutist idea the real life monarchs did on their times, her subjects love her because she damn deserves it. |
