The MMMystery episode showed us a bunch of great chefs (from the Cakes to Gustav and more). Applejack is a good chef herself, but I wouldn't put her in leagues with the Cakes and such.
Maybe unlike them though, Applejack and her family could fill a larger order than the individual chefs could? |

Applejack is a great cook. Pinkie even placed her above herself, and she cooks for a living. Also her cupcakes brought twilight out of a bad mood in part 1 of the wedding. And considering how bad Twilight's moods can get, that's something. |
