I don't think any of us can imagine how long that would feel to be alone. At least she has her subjects. Luna had nobody.

In a way she's just as alone as Luna was, since no one relates to her or really cares about her. She's made probably every kind of sacrifice possible for her people, and what does she owe them?

@8014 sort of sad, how it's more easy to have pity for who acts ruthless, than to have mercy for the caring ones
also apologetic fandoms of previous villains need a scapegoat to justify their apologetic trait

about NMM
original concept
but it isn't canon, as much as it isn't all the interpretations with luna ON the moon, instead of NNM IN the moon

in the end, it's a good thing comments don't get printed on the fanarts xD

All the above comments make me happy.
Celestia isn't alone. We are still there for her.

I may be wrong, but i think that when she use the elements to defeat NMM Celestia dosen't know what she was doing. In fact when we saw the elements in the show, nobody can predict how they will work and there is nothing that make us think there is any kind of manual control on them. They turn Discord into stone twice, banish NMM the first time, turn her into the nice luna the second and who know what else that wasn't featured on the show. I think that when Celestia use them 1000 years ago she dosen't thought they would do something that bad to her sister and when she return she send twilight instead of doing it herself in hope they would do something different. I know the fact that they had the same effect twice on Discord go against this theorie but out of 4 utilisations we can't do much reflexions. Maybe seending to the moon require lot more power than turning into stone, a power that Celestia have but not Twilight that would explain the difference.

surely it takes more power to forcibly revert nightmare moon to luna, else celestia would have just done instead of banishing her to the moon.

but there is no way to manually control the elements. Maybe she was powerfull enought but can make them use this power the way she want.

can't make them use this power the way she want.
Sorry for double post but this mistake was too big.
