I agree, but it could be also used against the users: Trolls might gather and vote down good images of a disliked character, or made by a disliked artist.
Still, i support the idea. |

What is the image score actually used for anyway? If it has no relevance to filters and searches then it seems kinda pointless to have it at all. |

Momentarily, the score has no real reason to exist.
This would be a good idea... you could put in a small slider bar, so you can adjust what kind of rating would be acceptable for you. |

I was also always wondering why the score exists. Or to be exact: why the negative score does.
No one has to look at certain submissions. So why voting down? It just demotivates their artists. When it comes to less normal submissions like verious fetish art, or OC shipping there is always a score of -1 to -3 because of a few people who can't filter the related tags out. Though, I'm surprised about how many upvotes some of these submissions have. Compared to e621.net the users on Ponibooru do really know how to love and tolerate. It's always just a few individuals who don't know how to act properly. When it comes to downvoting troll submissions, it should be usefull though. Especially if they get downvoted a lot, because people cannot filter them out always, because they get their tags changed all the time. |

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who scores images. If I like the artwork, or a comic is funny, etc I'll score it up. I only favorite things I might want/need to come back too.
Score = Like Favorite = Bookmark I see pics with pages of comments, and hundreds of favs, that are still scored 3 all the time. |

It would, but the moderration here is slow/nonexistant so the score system would be kinda useful.
Not that I would filter it anyway but I still support the idea. |

I get a lot more hate than love here but at least remembering I have fans helps me stay sane (yeah right I'm perfectly sane).

Good idea. Filters are optional after all, so it really wouldn't do any harm with an extra filter option. |

On one hand, this seems like a perfectly sensible thing to do - my only concern is that, trolls aside, it suddenly lends great import to something that hasn't been before. So perhaps the reason more people don't vote anything down here vs. other boorus is because it has no effect. OTOH, adding the system could lead to more upvotes, too; the real problem is in dealing with images that already have well-established scores that could wind up getting filtered. |
