They're both not great imho. McCarthy did Party of One and Lesson Zero, but Williams did Dragon Quest. But beyond that not that good. |

Mccarthy wrote Party of one, lesson Zeor and the wedding. <3
Williams commited Mare do well (my least favorite episode), Hearth warming eve (rape of the background) and Hoof down. She made a decent job on Spongebob but not on mlp. |

Merriwether's isn't the worst writer, but she can't get the character's personalities right at all, in one episode she had to make up entirely different ones, and she never seems to use the characters full potentials. And her morals make no sense. "Don't argue or unnatural forces will freeze you to death?" |

Some of you bronies seem to have different ideas on "what makes a show good".
Lesson Zero to me seemed out-of-character for Twilight, since she is usually very rational, however the character interactions in Hearth Warming Eve were some of the best of the Season. (Maybe after Sisterhooves.) I'm not exactly sure why you all seem to love Lesson Zero so much though... (also, memetically exploitable =/= better) |

Lesson Zero was funny. Yes, Twilight was a bit out-of-character but not as far as Fluttershy in Putting your hoof down and Dashie in Mare do well.
Hearth Warming eve was her only decent episode but full of background raping (d4fuq with Discord being the ruler of Equestria before Celestia?). |
