Part of the reason Luna achieved greater popularity than Celestia, even despite not actually having any character in the beginning, was because the former ruler who was exiled after going mad and seeks redemption for her actions was widely considered more interesting the the super duper perfect princess that everypony loves and adores. This is the exact same situation: Cadence is boring, Chrysalis isn't. It's very simple to understand. As for the fucking, well, humans are a sexual species, and sex inevitably works its way into everything. |

1: There's a significant difference between "bronies" and "people who want to fuck ponies." There may be a significant overlap, but as a general rule they're probably in the minority.
2: I don't see any decay on Chrysalis. She's got holes in her, but they're clean, precise things. No bits fell off her, she didn't smell of decay or death, and as a matter of fact she seems to be more sturdily put together than Celestia. 3: As a general rule people will be more interested in a colorful, unique character with an interesting motivation and good plans than they are in a "perfect pony princess" who never does anything, regardless of appearance. Cadance was largely useless and her wings stank of executive meddling. Chrysalis nearly conquered the world with a song on her lips. |

^ The holes (though clean) and green tinge seem to imply decay, and her hair is noticeably more dirty-looking with the straight, flat aesthetic with texture hatches than most other characters. There's also the weird discoloured splotches on her neck that tie into the look.
She seems to have an aesthetic that implies decay. However it's doubtful that she's not -supposed- to look like this, in the same way naked mole rats just happen to look like horrible, cancer-filled mutants. Considering Changelings take the place of loved ones and slowly atrophy their mates until they're too weak to function it makes sense their true form would have a look that ties in to decomposition like that. |

Please note I don't hate Chrysy, I like her a lot, but that's the point, she is the only "pure" villain of the show(NMM was a possesed Luna, Discord more or less had "troll" as a full time job and "villain" as a part time one, and the Windgos could be said to be less of villains and more like a nature force, maybe they didn't even realize the trouble they were causing), it is natural to me my way to like her is the same way I would hate someone, also, I still want to have her pay for what she did to Shining Armor and Cadence. |

Okay, something I overlooked when I made my first post...
"Cadance was largely useless-" Excuse me? Cadance was half of the huge Deus Ex Machina in the end, and if you watch "This Day Aria" clip, it is made pretty clear that if it wasn't for her huge determination, Twilight wouldn't be able to escape in time, the Changelings would have done way more damage that they already did, and worse, Chrysalis would still have her disguise, who knows what more she had plans to do. Also, if you speak of useless princess, what about Luna? all we saw her doing was watching the telescope so Celestia could rest at night, and saying "hi" to the cast -after- everything was done, if anything, Cadance did more on those two episodes(or one episode, as real Cadance didn't appear in the first one) than Luna did in her whole canon existence, Luna still have one of the biggest fandoms around. |
