Also, their MO didn't feel very Changeling-y. They had no qualms about being ruthless and horrible to make their goal. While a Changeling would likely care much less about money, and much more about being given love. |

Maybe all the green magic is just bad magic, and with the worse then average ponies. Probably would have to be a darker shade of green though, considering there are a few good green ponies ~Colgate and Lyra~ |

Standard changelings can only fire beams of that mucus stuff that they use to imprison ponies.
The Queen was using a beam made of corrupted love, which is strong versus princesses and weak versus knights. That's why she abducted Cadence instead of Shining Armor. |
