Maybe Trixie was Chrysalis the whole time. It's a Secret Window sort of thing: She believes this dark entity is tormenting her, but it's really her trying to rediscover herself and her true calling. She wiped her memory and took a new identity to try and forget the meaning of her existence -to feed off of others' love and destroy their lives- because she wanted to be a better mare, but the more she starves the more her repressed identity tortures her dreams and every waking moment. This picture depicts her final breaking point. |
