I mean, I'm all for Lyra to be quirky to foil BonBon's "straight-mare" attitude, but this is just ridiculous. When did it become mainstream for Lyra to think about nothing BUT humans and all that other junk? |

I was tired of it the first week. It's just so boring now. And heaven forbid you depict these characters in any other light, or you'll get reprimanded.

I never shipped Derpy with The Doctor, though. She's a single mom.
And Lyra is an aspiring musician whose career has met a dead end, and will always be in the shadow of her actress wife Bonbon. Her attempt at discovering proof of humanity is more or less the result of her desperation to stand out and make a name for herself, to the point of obsession. Bonbon of course doesn't know how much it means to her wife and therefore doesn't support her "silly theories". It will break them apart. |

It makes more sense if you think of it as a 'literal' obsession. As in Lyra is so much into humans, it pretty much takes over her personality. Things like that happen in real life you know... |

Sure, people do tend to go crazy when obsessed, but why should it also apply to Lyra? I liked her when she was fun-loving, quirky and actually was in love with BonBon, before she became some crazed lune. |

At least with Derpy's obsession with muffins, I believe it's being used sparingly (that is, you see her with a muffin in hoof intermixed with non-muffin related pics). Whereas with Lyra, it now seems people ONLY see her has the pony who either wants hands or wants to become human and the pic nowadays reflect that. |
