@Gittonsxv: The only probablem is that the red eyed "twin" does not exist in the show. She's an OC created by the fandom, and the one in the show is the one with purple eyes. |

In my headcannon she uses a magic spell to make her eyes glow redish, and her mane pure blue and cyan, when she performs in a dark nightclub or something. Perhaps even blackening out her white coat. |

@KirbyfanNeox: Because it's still an overt rejection of the show. Either you accept that the show has the final say on her eye color, or you don't. There's really not any middle ground on this, which is why some fans have made it into such a big fight.
Some fans insist that the purple eyes are contact lenses, even though there is NO evidence in the show at all that her eyes are red. If you're going to start challenging the show's canon with bullshit of that magnitude then everything is up for grabs, and that is not a fandom that I want to be a part of. |

#563 You don't know much about criticism in fiction. Ever heard of the death of the author? It's not the job of the audience to parrot the creator's viewpoint. And it's pure foalotry for a fanbase with as countercultural an origins as bronies to do so. Hell, we should commission Red eyes Vinyl just to piss off easily offended people.
Besides, DJ P0N3 objectively looks better with red eyes. Simple color theory. The pony on the left is not distinctive looking; the pony on the right is. Emerald green eyes would be distinctive against blue as well. |
