i dunno, GG, this one feels a little weak considering that celestia didn't really do a dang thing to seal him the second time.
unless this is actually chrysalis and she's using twilight's form because she knows that Discord has developed an obsession with Twilight (she has so much untapped POTENTIAL for Chaos) which is as close as a being like him comes to love. Add in some sex and that may just be able to work as a synthetic love for her purposes. |

Twilight being attracted to Discord is an interesting idea when you consider Discord exists on a level Twilight wants to be on.
There's a clear division in the land of Equestria between the regular ponyfolk and the Goddesses Celestia and Luna. The Goddesses live in a world of eternal life, cosmic power, emotions strong enough to physically manifest and warp reality, and more. Even if they are kind and social creatures, there is an unavoidable separation. Discord exists on that level too. He is beyond the ponies. He is also a rebel, or perhaps better a deposed lord - a bad boy, a seducer. It's because he does not sit immediately above them, but rather above and to the side. He could share his secrets and power, if he so chose, but who could force him to? Who could gain leverage over the ultimate trickster? Twilight wants to be on that level and idolizes those who are. She's more powerful than the average pony and proud of that fact, and she's always trying to expand her magical power. Though she may lack the brazen ambition to declare she wishes to be a god, if her studies and potential push her in that direction she may pursue it, maybe without even realizing it. So Twilight being attracted to Discord ultimately represents the temptation of what she wants to become. He's the bad boy her mother-figure warned her about, with all the power and secrets she could ever want. Taming him would put her on his level - the level of godhood, a power he might be able to share, and mastering him would prove her worthy of such power. |
